100 Words: The Note

She walked past the billboard and spotted the crumpled note. Surprised, she walked past the throngs of people to the stapled paper.

“Airlia,

I wish my words could scoop back time
recapture the lost youth and the many respites
To right the wrongs,
and fix
the one too many regrets that come along.

I had wish my writings might turn you back
into my arms so I could hold you tight
To stop the pain
as now
I prayed for our love to begin once again.”

She took out a pen and added a line,

“Why did you die too?”
