100 words: End
The train pulled out from under the earth and streaked across the quiet night. A boy bored by the monotony of the ride started to doze off on his father’s lap, breathing soundlessly as his sister stared down the cabin at him.
The curious looking teenager had plugged in his earphones and began doing a B-Box rendition and scratching an invisible vinyl record on his lap.
I lingered long in my thoughts while looking at his self-indulgence when the train rumbled unwillingly to a stop and opened its doors reluctantly.
“Sir, this train is not..”
“Oh, yeah, time to go.”
